As one of the top leaders in Blow Moulding Industry, SMC always adapt to changes to suit to customers’ need and provide them solutions in meeting their strenuous demand of high-production. In this issue, we introduce SMC’s latest machine model series, the SMC-DTC, Horizontal Machine.
SMC is proud to present the latest Model of SMC’s array of the world class Blow Moulding Machines; the highly innovative SMC DTC Series. This machine series focuses on the “Heart” of Blow Moulding which is the improved “Clamping System”. The advantages of this new machine series are the following;
Tips of the day: Adjusting the carriage in different controllers
Moog Check the setting in “Axis 1 Control” and adjust the speed control of the proportional valve.
Omron Adjust Deceleration Valve located behind the clamping platen.
Barber Colman Check the setting in “Movement” Menu, then “Carriage Setup” Screen, adjust the desired speed. Adjustment is only possible with a security level 3.

SMC is proud to present the latest Model of SMC’s array of the world class Blow Moulding Machines; the highly innovative SMC DTC Series. This machine series focuses on the “Heart” of Blow Moulding which is the improved “Clamping System”. The advantages of this new machine series are the following;
- SMC-DTC Machines are having Horizontal Carriage Movement with bobbling head. This translates into advantages on increase cavitations, slightly faster carriage movement than the standard inclined machines and other advantages mentioned below.
- Adjustments on Clamping Platen with respect to the Die Head, Moulds and Cooling Manifolds are easier on DTC machines.
- The Clamping Force in DTC Series is equally distributed to the center of the Clamping Platen thereby providing accurate clamping force application to the mould closure, resulting to good quality products.
- The Carriage Hydraulic Cylinder will have durable lifespan due to almost frictionless movement of the Clamping Unit which sits on the guide rail.
- The Carriage Length can be extended to accommodate multi-cavity production depending on customers’ production requirement, depending on diameters of the container to produce and depending on the type/model of DTC machine.
- SMC-DTC machines are equipped with Directional Valve Control, which is convenient for maintenance, longer lifespan and easier to find replacement parts in the customers’ local market throughout the world.
- SMC-DTC machines are User Friendly, simple to operate and easy to maintain.
- SMC-DTC machines have Compact Design, robust, durable and with reasonable Asian price tag.
