Last November 11, 2009, Mr. Anuchit Boonthong, President of SMC Corporation Ltd., and Mr. Veerasak Kositpaisal, President & CEO of PTT Chemical Public Company Ltd., signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), to start a mutual cooperation on development and support of Thailand’s Blow Moulding Industry.
Sharing one common vision which is customer’s satisfaction, both SMC & PTT have defined their roles to play; where SMC dedicates its manpower and resources on technical development and inventions of efficient plastic machineries, PTT specializes on development and innovation of new and existing plastic materials that are cost-efficient, right answer to market demand, improved quality of end-products, locally and globally competitive.
Both SMC and PTT are leaders of its own field of business expertise, and both shall be able to strengthen its position in its own market niche by complimenting each other.

“PTT Chemical Plc is Thailand's leading petrochemical and plastic resins manufacturer with the Olefins production capacity of 1.8 million tons per year and the HDPE production capacity of 800,000 tons per year. In the fourth quarter of 2009 to early 2010, the company will start a commercial operation of its LLDPE and
LDPE plants which will give a production capacity of 400,000 tons per year and 300,000 tons per year, respectively. With the new products soon tobe launched to the market, the company aims to offer more solutions as well as complete services to the market…..”
