Anniversary for the Death of HM the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej
Our deepest condolences to the Royal Family and the people of Thailand on the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. In loving memory of the great King Bhumibol Adulyadej, The King of Thailand Rama IX has passed away at Siriraj Hospital peacefully on the 13th of October 2016, at the age of 88 years. HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej was the ninth monarch of Thailand from the of the 234-year-old Chakri Dynasty as Rama IX. Having reigned since 9 June 1946, he was, at the time of his death, the world’s longest-serving head of state and the longest-reigning monarch in Thai history, serving for 70 years and 126 days. HM King Bhumibol was widely respected and much-loved across Thailand. Every house in Thailand keeps a portrait of King Bhumibol. For the majority of the country’s 68 million people, the king was a pillar of stability in rapidly changing times.
