SMC Holiday : Thai Father's Day

Please be informed that our company will be closed on Tuesday 5th of December as Thai Father's Day.
We will resume normal work on Wednesday 6th of December, 2023.
 

Father’s Day is celebrated worldwide, but in Thailand, this is a special occasion that takes on a different meaning.
One of the many public holidays on Thailand’s calendar, the birthday of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s. On 5 December has long been one of the most prominent.
December 5th also held as Thai Father’s Day commemorates His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great’s birthday and has been observed as a national holiday since 1960.  Until his death aged 88 on 13 October 2016, this holiday had long been celebrated as the King’s Birthday, as well as being marked as Father’s Day.
